   - Researchers developed simple programs that could solve logical problems and play basic games like chess.
   - The first AI programs, such as **Logic Theorist** and **ELIZA** (a chatbot), showed machines could perform tasks that mimicked human intelligence.

3. **Challenges and Slow Progress (1970s-1980s)**:
   - AI faced challenges due to the limitations of computer power, and it became difficult to achieve practical applications. This led to an "AI winter," where funding and interest in AI decreased.

4. **Revival and Expert Systems (1980s)**:
   - AI research regained momentum with the rise of **expert systems**, programs designed to simulate the decision-making of a human expert in specific areas like medicine or finance.

This is in contrast to the common practice in HR departments of treating all individuals of the same grade equally. Recognizing that people are at different stages of spiritual evolution or dealing with challenges like depression, financial crisis, or family issues, tailored approaches can yield the best results.
